sorry it's sideways. i couldn't figure out how to alter it. my goals with this project were to choose an irregular assortment of objects and paint them to the best of my ability. to accomplish this, i chose items based on their colour, rather than a particular theme. what surprised me most was that the painting still seems to have a sort of harmony. the most difficult challenge was the perspective and getting it right. i was able to accomplish this with a ruler and by measuring distances to scale with my pencil. i think my painting really works in the compact mirror. i'm proud of the way i replicated the reflection on the window and blocks in the silvery surface. if i had a do-over i might fix the yellow lego block. it's disproportionate.
the painting has harmony because the colors share the proper ratio of values. you can use any colors if they have the right values together. yes perspective IS a challenge.
